Slacking with my Blogspot!

Yikes it's been far too long. Things have been just cruising along nicely, been 85% healthy but have fallen off the band wagon a few times, only to pick myself up and carry on. To date I have lost 5.4kg since starting so I'm stoked about that! I have completed a duathlon and will be doing another one on April 17th. Can't remember my pin to change my ticker ...... duh stupid girl!
I participated in the Relay for Life event at the weekend, 18 hours long, pheewww!!! Didn't calorie count as I didn't think it was the time or the place to be worrying about how many calories I was burning, I was there to raise money for Cancer Research and that's what our team did. We managed to raise $4875.00!!!! An amazing experience, very emotionally draining but so glad I did it.
Just gona keep on keepin on!!! My goal is getting closer and closer ..... :-)

GET MOVING!!!

Today has been a super slow day, I blame it on the fact that I managed to polish off a bottle of wine last nite, BAD BAD GIRL!!! Anyway, knowing that yesterday was my rest day, and I needed to get off my bum and do some exercise after my succumbing to wine last nite, but the gym is shut today as it is Auckland Anniversary Day, I used the opportunity when my partner and children were out for a wee while to jump at the chance to get on my bike ...... phewwww hard riding in the wind but I DID IT!!!!, about 25km 58mins but only 413calories burned, yikes I must be getting fitter and need to go harder and/or change my route!! Geez those HRM are fabulous pieces of equipment ....

úpdating .....

Calorie counting and using my HRM, creating an amazing change of mindset. I can, and need to do this on my own, take control and give myself a kick up the bum instead of leaving it to some challenge or someone pushing me. Only I can have the motiviation and control to succeed at what I wish.
Walked to and from gym, did spin bike session (30mins) , and 15 mins on treadmill (walking and on incline). Yeah, go me!!

And, my books have arrived ....... now to find some ME time and sit down and read them ....., still need to get a calorie counter though.

FT7 training

Well, Tuesday I managed to burn 604 calories with my workout at the gym, doesn't sound much but geez it was hard work getting that many off! Great to be able to see what I'm burning though and how long I'm in the fat burn zone and how long I'm in the fitness zone, definitely changed my focus. Fat burn zone 12 fminutes, and fitness zone 58 minutes, and I cycled to and from the gym which are included in my results :-) WAAAHOOO!

Yesterday, Wed 26th, I decided to go out cycling on the road, spent an hour on the road buring 513 calories which I thought wasn't too bad, it was about 25km but I'll have to go for a drive and confirm the distance. 11 minutes in fat burning zone, and 52 minutes in the fitness zone, AWESOME!

Totally changed my outlook ....

FT7 - 12wbt

What an amazing piece of equipment my FT7 is - I should have bought one a long time ago. Used it tonight, cycled to gym, did 25min spin, then 20 min walk on treadmill (gradient 3 and speed 6.5), fabulous to be able to see, fat burning zone and times, fitness working zone and times, and calories burned, amazing!!

It's here!

24 hour delivery - my FT7 as arrived!!!!, super fast service!!! WAHOO!! Just gotta figure out how it works now!
